2019 Pro Skills Camp
2019 Pro Skills Camp Recap
Our 3-Day Pro Skills Camp in Raleigh, NC kicked off June 14th and featured 5 on-ice sessions focused on skating and skill development in game settings and 4 off-ice sessions centered around off-ice training, mental skills, nutrition, and mobility.
Our Pro Skills Camp group included girls from North Carolina, Virginia, and even Florida! The effort, intensity, and willingness to learn was top notch every session on and off the ice.
Guest coach and 6-year professional women’s hockey player, Blake Bolden, joined us for the weekend in Raleigh! Blake brought a TON of experience on and off the ice for the girls to learn from.
Our mental skills session focused on the mindset of “failing forward”. Girls were challenged to come up with a mistake ritual – a phrase, or small action – to help them reset themselves after a mistake and be ready to the next play or shift.
3x Olympic medalist and former Team USA captain, Meghan Duggan, graciously shared her incredible journey and answered so many great questions from our campers. Meghan’s journey and perspective was incredible for the girls to learn from!
